Join Skagit Land Trust at our Anacortes Mehler conservation easement! This 10 acre property is beautiful woodland in the middle of a dense residential area. Here you can find breeding and roosting habitat for Bald Eagles, marbled murrelet, great blue herons, cavity-nesting ducks, band-tailed pigeons, Vaux’s swift, and pileated woodpecker. It also contains habitat suitable for amphibians and several species of bats. Here we will remove invasive species, like holly and ivy. We will then use these plants to make holiday wreaths! Materials, hot chocolate and snacks will be provided. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. If you have any questions, email volunteer@skagitlandtrust.org. Please visit skagitlandtrust.org to RSVP.
