Friends of Skagit Beaches Lecture Series

Our first lecture will be Friday, Jan. 15, 7pm-8pm: Seals and Sea Lions: Pinnipeds of the Salish Sea. They’re called “pinnipeds” due to their feathered or winged feet. Learn to distinguish between seals and sea lions and how local scientists are identifying individuals of these local marine mammals. Dr. Cindy Elliser, research director, Pacific Mammal Research (PacMam), will present her fascinating marine research. Please join us for the 16th year of our lecture Series: Four online lectures highlighting the amazing life in and around the marine ecosystems of the Salish Sea.
