Students Training as Research Scientist Camp

Summer STaRS (Student Training as Research Scientists) is a five day research adventure through the San Juan Islands, with four boat-based days and one day exploring on land. This camp is designed for students age 14-18, and is a great way for students to explore and connect with each other as curious marine explorers. Campers will practice field research techniques, utilize the scientific method, review relevant scientific literature, perform data collection and analysis, and hone their observation skills. This is a perfect program for students interested in marine science careers!
